                   THUNDERBIRDS

My 1965 thunderbird I bought in November 1973. It was bought in a little town out side of Fort Lewis Washington called Tillicum. I paid 900 dollars for it. At the time it had about 60,000 miles and it was the smoothest driving car I had ever driven.

Me and Dave Jordan (leaning on the car). A sad note my friend Dave was killed in freak accident in a train yard. He will be missed.

Friends Dave Jordan and Robert Blake with me in my ole 65

My Dad looking at my 65.

My dad passed away from cancer around 1985. He was a smoker for many years.

Robert Blake (white t-shirt) and me by his rolled over 62 tbird

I last saw Blake in Fort Lewis in 74. If you see this Bob Email me.

Ya I just had to paint it fire truck red. It was supposed to be a deep dark bloody red but the mixer got it wrong.

The ole 65 was driven thru to many Wisconsin winters and I finally had to lay her to rest. Parts of her live on in a 1966 tbird shown below. The trunk lid, the 390 engine and various interior parts have been transplanted.
